I SURVIVED SUMMER SCHOOL.

Ok so I had my major/minor plans and the university planned. Now, how to pay for it all, plus summer school?

The amazing thing is that my choir scholarship at MCCC covered both summer semesters, not just fall and winter that school year. There was SUCH confusion on whether it would be for both or just one, but I got $1300 for both.
My tuition and fees ended up being $1298 for 3 summer classes!! Praise God!
So then basically I just didn't get that $2, but ohhhhhhh well. It was soooooo much cheaper to finish a few more classes in summer school at MCCC.
So yeah.
Calculus III was going to happen, but now I am soooooo happy that go through because Calc lll in 6 weeks would have been tough, and it turns out Calc lll later in the year was with a super fun group of people!
Instead, I took Statistics and Anthropology in the first summer semester.
THANK GOODNESS. While Stats can be a difficult class, it was only Introduction to Statistics, and definitely easier than the recent Calculus classes I had been taking. Plus, I was friends with 3 other fun people in the class!
AND THE HOMEWORK IN STATISTICS WAS EXTRA CREDIT. WHAT.
Anthropology I just got toe sit and listen to interesting lectures. It's a fascinating subject. Plus, there wasn't too much homework.
So a word of advice: ask around to students who have already taken the classes you're looking into (especially for a short summer class), check ratemyprofessor.com, and choose wisely. Try to fit work around good classes that will be interesting, challenging but not unnecessarily hard, or just easy(: instead of fitting your classes around work, if possible.
Macroeconomics online was my next summer semester! It was much better to take this one by itself... phew.
Thankfully, I only took Macro at that point, because I needed to get all my funding for the following school year squared away. No more cheap testing out of classes or full ride choir scholarship. I was going to the big, expensive university.
