STARTING UNIVERSITY & FINISHING A CLASS *super* EARLY

The day had arrived!
I wasn't exactly past community college yet... still had Calculus lll to take there, but I was ready to begin my business classes at a full-fledged university, to FINALLY complete my agreed-upon degree.
Almost every student starts the year strong, convinced they will be good students that year and, oh yeah, keep up their health and social life while ALSO getting sleep.
Oh wait, and you want to graduate debt-free? So working and saving and looking for scholarships are an additional part of that busy equation.
Ugh.
Don’t have time to research funding or apply for scholarships? THEN…. Learn how to manage homework time more wisely and be more productive!
There are a bunch of options, books, videos, podcasts, etc. out there ( I'd check out the "College Info Geek" website, podcast, and audiobook by YouTuber Thomas Frank),
Here’s a journal entry taken from that particular semester on how I handled my classes…
"OB (organizational behavior and theory): This class is online and the professor posts several weeks ahead of time, so I’ve gone ahead in the class!
At this point I’m done until about the beginning of December! The assignments are where you read and answer questions, but there are unlimited attempts, and I tested
to see if the questions stay the same on each attempt, and they do.
So, I didn’t even do the reading. I just guesses on the online multiple choice questions
until they were correct.
(wowwww... can't believe I admitted that to you guys. But the thing is, I had several other classes in which I had to study hard... and I knew myself: these multiple choice questions didn't help me learn the class. I had other ways.)
I watched a movie or listened to music, and did all the homework assignments using this approach in about an hour during the first or second week of class. THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF CLASS, AND I WAS DONE.
Then we have to do self assessments, where there’s no wrong answer, we just answer questions about ourselves, and at the end of the semester we write a paper based off all our results. The questions are literally in the textbook, so I didn’t have to wait for them to be opened online.
So I just got them all done ahead of time, then wrote a little note under each of my results to clarify if I thought the results were accurate. Again, no wrong answers, and I didn’t angst over each of them.
Just answered questions fast based on my gut, and got them done! A few hours for the whole semester, tops.
Then there are no tests for the class, but there are online quizzes. Since they’re just online and she (the prof) didn’t specify otherwise, they’re just open book. I don’t even read the textbook… I just look over the PowerPoint notes real quick and start the quiz and use the book and finish the quizzes.
Then we’re required to listed to the lectures online. At this point, I've already learned from the PowerPoints, done the homework, and do not need the lectures.
Buuuuuuut, she can see if we play the entire thing, so I just let them play in the background as I do other homework, or while I was in class one day.
Now I just have to write that paper later in the semester. Not starting now because I do have other work to do and tests to study for, and I want to wait until closer to ask her some questions about it.
Commitment time? An hour or two every few weeks, tops."
